Personality Traits - Words for good Impression (Interview prep.)

Q- 'How's she as a person?'
'She's nice'

This would be an example of a normal conversation and perhaps something that you can relate to as well. When someone asks us about a person, we tend to use the easiest, most generic terms possible. For example, the word 'Nice' used here, is supposed to include several positive characteristics, correct? But if you think about it...it does not really tell us anything specific about the person's character, behavior or style. Nice could mean anything and everything. It just gives us a general feel of the person. Other generic words to describe people would include – 'Good', 'Fine', 'Sweet' and 'OK'. What I ask is, why stop at these generic words when there are so many specific words to describe people? Words which can tell us EXACTLY what we need to know. About their behavior, habits etc. So here's what I say we do today, let us look at some of these descriptive words that we should be making a part of our speech, anyway.

Introduction

Automobile engineering is one of the most challenging fields in engineering and at the same time it has more vast opportunity worldwide.
Automobile engineering has another name which is termed as automotive engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing, developing, testing and maintenance of the automobiles.
Automobile Engineers are classified into three streams namely
  1. Product or Design Engineering
  2.  Development Engineering
  3.  Manufacturing Engineering.
New in list about to add is automotive Electronics or car Mechatronics as its scope is increasing fast.
It combines different engineering methods such as electrical, safety, software, mechanical and so on to provide a better maintenance and services for your vehicles. This field requires lots of hard work and dedication to learn the profession and to achieve the success. Engineers in this field deals with creation, design, service, and manufacture of different vehicles which works efficiently and produce good result to satisfy the customers.

Want to be an Entrepreneur?
An entrepreneur is a person who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or idea and is accountable for the inherent
risks and the outcome. The term was originally a loanword from French and was first defined by the Irish-French economist
Richard Cantillon. Entrepreneur in English is a term applied to a person who is willing to launch a new venture or enterprise
and accept full responsibility for the outcome. Jean-Baptiste Say, a French economist, is believed to have coined the word
"entrepreneur" in the 19th century - he defined an entrepreneur as "one who undertakes an enterprise, especially a
contractor, acting as intermediatory between capital and labour". A broader definition by French Economist J.B. Say (1800)
"The entrepreneur shifts economic resources out of lower and into higher productivity and greater yield.

Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

IIM- B
The two-year PGP, leading up to a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), designed to equip students with the skills and capabilities that will enable them to reach responsible global positions in management. The PGP revolves around the principle that world-class business leaders are not mass-produced; they are nurtured and developed with personalized care and attention, in small work groups and teams, and in a practical, application-oriented, user-friendly environment.
Catalyzed by the Government of India and United Nations Development Programme the PGPPM is packed with path breaking insights about winning policy making and management strategies. It offers participants global exposure through tie-up with Syracuse University, USA.
The PGPEM is a 22 month diploma granting program, delivered over Friday afternoon and Saturday classes. Participants learn from world class faculty, while strengthening their network through collaboration with peers when they stay at the beautiful campus on Friday nights. Designed for working mid-career and senior executives, the Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), is tailored to integrate real world experience with classroom learning.

IIM-A

    FPM
     Fellowship Programme in Management

The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the doctoral programme of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The objective of the programme is to provide students with necessary skills to identify and research complex issues in the field of management. FPM seeks candidates with outstanding academic backgrounds, intellectual curiosity and discipline needed to make scholarly contribution.
FPM is a research programme. To the selected students, IIMA provides an excellent environment for carrying out advanced research, thus creating highly committed researchers trained in the most recent methodologies and engaged in producing original research work.
IIMA’s doctoral programme provides a diverse set of opportunities for interdisciplinary education and research. The small entering class ensures close interaction with the faculty, where students can determine their own directions under the guidance of their thesis advisory committees.
The student becomes part of one of the eleven functional/sectoral groups and acquires the basic theoretical knowledge and practical aspects of the area. This allows close interaction with faculty members, who provide the intellectual stimulation and help develop the student’s own research interests and professional goals. The programme is strongly committed to preparing thought leaders both for the academic and corporate world.
Students spend generally a little over four years that includes two years of rigorous course work. From the first term onwards students take advanced doctoral level courses in the area of specialization along with some recommended PGP courses which provides a general management overview and develop basic skills for analyzing managerial problems. The doctoral dissertation, for the next couple of years,  provides them with an opportunity to make original contribution to an area of management or to one of its source disciplines.
IIMA’s faculty have studied and worked in the best of institutions within India and around the world. Their involvement with public and private organizations internationally allows them to bring relevant managerial issues into the classroom and in their research. This creates an exceptional environment for developing a research programme that can build sound theory for analyzing complex managerial problems.

    POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME
The two-year full-time Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), rated as the toughest MBA programme in the world to get admission, is the flagship programme of IIMA.
